Terms
These terms apply to your use of nycwaterdamagerepair.com. By using the site you accept them. In these terms, “we” means the operator of this site.
What this site is
NYC Water Damage Repair is an independent referral service, not a restoration company. When you send the form, your details go to an independent local restoration provider serving New York City, who can contact you, inspect and quote any work directly. You decide whether to hire them. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a provider.
No promises about providers
We do not employ, supervise or vouch for any provider. We make no promise about when a provider will contact you or arrive, what they will charge, how they work or the result. Before you hire anyone, ask for their quote and scope in writing, and ask about anything that matters to you, including any license the work requires. In New York, some mold work requires New York State Department of Labor licensed workers; the page on mold remediation in NYC explains when.
Information, not advice
The pages on this site are general information about water damage, drying, mold and the rules that apply in New York City. They are not legal, insurance, engineering, medical or safety advice for your situation. Nothing here is a promise that any insurer will pay for anything; check your own policy or ask your agent. Rules change, so check the source named on a page before relying on it. In an emergency involving fire, gas or a danger to life, call 911.
Using the site
- Send a request only about your own property, or one you are responsible for.
- Give accurate details, so the provider can contact you.
- Do not use the forms to send unlawful, abusive or automated messages.
Links and photographs
Links to public sources are given for reference. We do not control those sites. Photographs on this site illustrate the kinds of damage described; they do not show any provider, their staff or their work.
Responsibility
You remain responsible for decisions about your property, including whether to hire a provider, what work to agree to and how to deal with your building, your landlord, your neighbors and any insurer. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the work of any provider or for loss arising from reliance on general information on this site.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies.
